The lab had a good summer. 3 publications were published:
- TriPepSVM is a machine learning approach to identify RNA-binding proteins de novo. This work was a great collaboration with the Marsico lab. You can find the paper here.
Our in-depth discussion of PTex, a method to purify RNA-protein complexes in an unbiased fashion has been published in Methods. This work also includes an introduction on the chemistry of RNA extraction and biophysical background information on UV cross-linking of RNA and proteins. You can find more details on the method on this page.
An overview article on conserved RNA-bound proteomes. In this book chapter together with Sander Granneman, we discuss challenges of investigating RNA-binding proteins on a system-wide scale. The paper is here.
